D-top Mould supplies mold kits to overseas mold makers and tooling companies. A mold kit includes the machined cavity, core, sliders and inserts built from your complete 3D mold data — without the mold base. You add the base, cooling and ejection locally, or we deliver a kit that drops into your standard frame.

This model lets you keep control of the mold base and fast delivery to your local market, while outsourcing the precision-machined core components to a China workshop with lower cost and stable quality.
What a Mold Kit Includes
- Machined cavity and core inserts from your 3D model
- Sliders, angle lifters and slide cores
- Inserts, ejector pins and sprue components as specified
- Heat treatment and polishing per your drawing
- CMM inspection report for every component
A mold kit does not include the mold base, leader pins, cooling channels or hydraulic cylinders unless you request them.
Who This Service Is For
- Overseas mold makers who want lower component cost without losing base control
- Tooling companies that machine bases locally but outsource precision inserts
- Engineering teams validating a design before committing to a full mold
What You Need to Provide
- Complete 3D mold data — all components in one assembly or per-part models
- Mold base standard and pocket dimensions (so inserts fit your frame)
- Material and hardness for each component
- Critical tolerances and surface finish
- Quantity and delivery date
Manufacturing Process
- Data and fit review — we confirm pocket size and shut-off against your base standard
- DFM feedback — draft, tolerance and structure risks
- Machining — CNC, EDM and grinding of each component
- Heat treatment and finishing
- CMM inspection — per-component dimensional report

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you build a kit to my local mold-base standard?
Yes. Send the base standard (e.g. Hasco, DME, or your in-house frame) and pocket dimensions, and we machine inserts to fit.
Do you ship components separately or as a kit?
Either way. Many customers prefer a complete kit packed together with a checklist; single components can be shipped separately if needed.
Can you also make the full mold if I change my mind?
Yes. If you later want the complete mold including base and cooling, see our custom injection mold manufacturing service.
Request a Quotation
