Mold flow analysis uses simulation to evaluate how molten plastic is likely to fill, pack and cool inside the mold. Depending on the project, the analysis can help identify filling imbalance, weld lines, air traps, pressure concerns, shrinkage and potential warpage before tooling is completed.

The results support gate-location, runner, cooling and process decisions. Recommendations are reviewed together with the part design and resin data so potential risks can be addressed earlier in the project.
