D-top Mould machines mold cavities, cores and sliders directly from your 3D mold data. If you are an overseas mold maker or tooling company that needs precision China outsourcing for the core working components of a mold, send us the model and we return finished, inspected parts ready to assemble.

This service covers the parts that define the molded product shape — not the complete mold. It is the right choice when your team handles the mold base, cooling and ejection but needs the cavity, core or slides machined to a high standard.
Components We Machine
- Cavity inserts — including multi-cavity and family-mold layouts
- Core inserts — with ribs, bosses and undercut features
- Sliders and slide cores — straight, inclined and cam-driven
- Angle lifters and unscrewing cores
- Inserts with texturing or engraving
How We Hold Tight Tolerance
| Process | What it controls |
|---|---|
| CNC milling and turning | Overall shape and feature position |
| Wire EDM and sinker EDM | Sharp corners, fine slots, hard material |
| Precision grinding | Flatness, parting-line fit |
| CMM inspection | Dimensional verification against model |
What You Need to Provide
- Complete 3D mold data — STEP or IGES of the cavity, core or slider
- Material grade — P20, H13, S136, NAK80 or your specified steel
- Critical dimensions and tolerances
- Parting-line, shut-off and surface-finish requirements
- Quantity and delivery date
Manufacturing Process
- Data check — we confirm the model is machinable and flag risks
- DFM review — tolerances, draft, shut-off and steel choice
- Rough and finish machining — CNC, EDM and grinding
- Heat treatment — when required by the application
- Polishing or texturing as specified
- CMM inspection and report
- Export packaging — anti-rust and shock protection

Quality Control
- CMM report with every shipment
- Material certificate available on request
- Mold-flow and shut-off fit reviewed before machining
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you machine just the core if I keep the cavity?
Yes. Many customers split the work — send the core model and we machine only that part to match your existing cavity.
Do you need the full mold assembly drawing?
For a single component we mainly need that component’s 3D model plus the fit details (mold base pocket size, parting reference). Full-assembly context helps but is not required.
What if my data needs adjustment?
We return DFM feedback before machining. Minor changes can be applied on our side if you confirm; structural changes go back to your design team.
Request a Quotation
