Mold Components and Inserts

D-top Mould machines individual mold components and inserts to your drawings and specifications. Whether you need a single replacement cavity, a set of sliders, or a full set of mold inserts machined from your 3D data, we supply precision parts that drop into your existing tooling.

CNC machined custom mold components and inserts

We support overseas mold makers, tooling companies and injection molding shops that need reliable China outsourcing for mold cores, cavities and wearing parts — without ordering a complete mold.

What We Machine

  • Mold cavity and core — single or matched sets, machined to your 3D model
  • Sliders, angle lifters and slide inserts — including inclined and hydraulic slide units
  • Mold inserts — round, square, contoured and threaded inserts
  • Ejector pins, sleeves and ejector plates
  • Sprue bushings, locating rings and leader pins
  • Wear plates and stripper plates
  • Parts machined from your complete 3D mold data set

Materials We Work With

MaterialTypical useHardness after treatment

We also machine customer-specified grades and can source certified steel with mill test report on request.

What You Need to Provide

  • 2D or 3D part/mold data — STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF or PDF with dimensions
  • Material specification — or tell us the application and we recommend a grade
  • Order quantity and target delivery date
  • Critical dimensions and tolerances — call out the features that matter most
  • Surface finish and heat-treatment requirements

Manufacturing Process

  1. RFQ review — we check your data and confirm feasibility within 1 business day
  2. DFM feedback — we flag tolerance or structure risks before cutting metal
  3. CNC machining — milling, turning, EDM and wire cutting
  4. Heat treatment — when hardness or wear resistance is required
  5. Surface finishing — polishing, texturing or coating as specified
  6. CMM inspection — full dimensional report
  7. Packaging and delivery — anti-rust wrap and export carton

Precision CNC machined mold parts on inspection table

Quality Control

  • CMM dimensional inspection report with every order
  • Material certificate and heat-treatment record on request
  • Hardness testing for treated components
  • Surface finish verified against your specified standard

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you machine only a cavity or core from my 3D data?

Yes. Send the single component model and we machine it to your dimensions, including fitting features for your existing mold base.

What tolerance can you hold?

Standard machining tolerance is ±0.01 mm on key features; tighter tolerance is available on request and confirmed during DFM review.

Do you supply the mold base as well?

Only if you ask. Many customers send us just the core components; for a complete tool without a base, see our injection mold manufacturing service.

How do you handle small batches?

Low-volume and single-piece orders are accepted. Pricing scales with quantity, so send your expected order size for an accurate quote.

Request a Quotation

Send your 2D or 3D drawings for a mold components quotation. Upload your file and tell us the material, quantity and tolerance — we reply with engineering feedback and a price.
